“Had a lovely stay in the tipis. Kids loved it loads! A general feeling of freedom with no ‘noise pollution’, plenty of space to run around, beautiful views and a lovely camp fire in the evening. All utilities at hand even though it feels you’re back to basic. Certainly coming back and bringing friends. Thanks again for the lovely stay, both!”
“Thanks for a lovely stay this week, both Brid and myself had a lovely time.”
“We stayed last night in the beautiful new tipi’s, which looked amazing standing against the blue sunny pembrokeshire sky line. Yep we had sun! The views from the fire pit watching as the evening light came in were stunning. Sitting chatting around the washing machine fire barrel was was the prefect way to toast marsh mellows.
Entering the tipi was an adventure, cosy yak wool colourful blankets, luscious cushions, lanterns and comfy seats that became our beds looked so welcoming. It was beautifully laid out, and plenty of room to make ourselves at home. As it got dark little fairy light came on.The hot water bottles were a lovely touch, so we were soon cosy going off to sleep that night. It was so peaceful.
My daughter and her friends had one Tipi, once they were inside they disappeared, enjoying sharing the space, playing games on the little table set in the middle, every time you walked past there was nothing but chatter and giggles to be heard! Not a bad way to spend a 13th Birthday party sleep over!
Tea was cooked in the cute, practical and homely kitchenette, with it’s rustic wooden shelves which held all the bits and pieces you would want to get sorted. We are used to camping, it was such a treat to have everything so well organised and clearly laid out without spending ages doing all the unpacking and setting up.
Washing up in the morning at the little table set up with the views across the valley was a treat.
Eating breakfast chatting under the eves of the kitchen meant we kept dry while watching the clouds spill across the valley below, it was raining, yes we got rain too!
We had such a lovely night, and such a nice time chatting to Claire. So much thought, creativity and care had gone into making our Tipi camping experience really special. Thank you x”
“We stayed here for a weekend at the end of August and Claire and Rachel really went out of their way to make it a really positive experience. They’ve obviously put a lot of thought into making the tipi experience as comfortable as possible for their guests, with hot water bottles, lanterns & candles at your disposal plus insect repellent lamps, matches, seasoning for food and lots of extra blankets available as well as fire-wood upon request.
It’s a beautiful setting with gorgeous views over the valleys and we were able to enjoy a lovely peaceful morning sitting outside in the sun with a delicious cooked breakfast. And, because it’s so spacious and there are only 3 or 4 tipis in total, it felt like we had the place to ourselves.
We weren’t so lucky with the weather for the latter half of our weekend but on the plus side we were greeted by a rainbow that spanned the whole sky upon our arrival!
We’ll definitely go back.”
“My first experience of glamping and it couldn’t have been better.
Amazing location, near to amazing coastline, walks and other activities.
Tipi comfortably slept 5, with plenty of room for luggage, and a space to leave shoes. Was a little chilly at night, but there were lots of blankets and on the second night we found the hot water bottles, which made all the difference 🙂
The kitchen shed had everything we needed and more. We were a mixed group of veggies and meat eaters, but there was more than enough pots, pans and utensils to be able to cook a huge breakfast without muddling up the food.
Toilets were very clean, and a lovely outside sink meant I could wash my face and brush my teeth outside in the sun taking in an amzing view.
So many lovely touches around the site, it’s obviously maintained by people who have a love for the outdoors and experience of camping.
Thank you Claire and Rachel”
“Last night we stayed in one of the Tipis and it was a fantastic and wonderful night. Claire and Rachel have turned what did look like a total dump into a pretty, well maintained and well kitted out place to stay. They have added so many little touches like hand painted signs, flowers and plants, ingenious fire pits made out of washing machine drums and logs and benches to sit on around the fire. The Tipi looked cosy and comfortable and it was! The site is now well maintained with strimmed and cut grass areas around the camp and fire areas, paved and gravelled areas around the kitchens and toilets/shower. Claire and Rachel are obviously camping girls themselves as they have put into their kitchens, not only basic utensils pans etc but extras like tea/coffee, night lights, firewood & kindlind, hot water bottles… the kind of things easily forgotten!
The facilities are fairly basic but clean and in full working order. There are only 2 toilets and 1 shower at present but with only 3 tipis in the whole field there were not any queues!
The tipis are very well spaced out so you get a sense of privacy and space. Inside the tipis is a fouton and 4 single comfortable covered foam mattresses. There are plenty of spare blankets and a little table, basic but cosy and homely.
The field itself is in a stunning location with panoramic views over the Pembrokeshire countryside. The only noise we could hear was a tractor in a nearby field and our kids having the best fun ever with wide open spaces to play in! We couldn’t see another house for miles and in the evening we could just about see the twinkling lights of Haverfordwest in the distance.
We will be back!!!”
