We are a small camping business, run by myself and a small group of like minded friends.
We have all grown up in Pembrokeshire and love the Sea, Sky and Meadows that surround this unique site.
Pembrokeshire Tipis was established over 10 years ago by the previous owners, as a basic camping retreat, set on a stunning piece of farmland that overlooks a secluded valley (Keeston moor) .
The Preseli Hills sit in the distance and the site is a stones throw from the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast and coastal path.
I took over this little business in Dec 2017 simply because I had fallen in love with the location and its relaxing energy.
I wanted others to experience and enjoy the vast skies, the abundant wildlife and birds while recharging, relaxing and rejuvenating as they step away from their usual day to day lives for a holiday/ mini break.
Its fabulous location gives the visitor so much choice – either to just sit and wonder or to explore the playground that Pembrokeshire has to offer – Walking, Swimming, Running, Cycling, Diving, Paragliding, Surfing and Bird watching and much more.
I grew up in Pembrokeshire and moved away for travel and work. I returned so that my children could experience the great outdoors, with Summer Holidays spent on beaches, cycle tracks and campsites..
My children are grown up now and they always say that the days on the beach, in the fields, building dens and camping are not only their fondest memories but they feel they learnt so much about themselves, others and how we impact on the environment during those formative years.
I am a grand mother now and I value the importance of children having the freedom to play outdoors, getting dirty, exploring, connecting with their creativity and imagination.
Pembrokeshire Tipis can offer this and is an ideal family camping location – we have fitted shack kitchens for each tipi, hot running water in the showers, running water to each kitchen, calor gas stoves and the living environments are all set up for when you arrive and all you have to bring is your preferred pillows, bedding and food.
Camping without all the packing!
We have 3 Tipis in total on site, well spaced out for privacy, set on a large field with superb valley views. The surrounding land is farmland with horses kept in the neighbouring field.
I have a small caravan I stay in during high season and i am happy to offer advice about where to go, which pub does great food, best beaches or any events that may be occurring during your stay – many of the local villages do farmers markets and as we are coastal , there are many boat and sea related events such as regattas.
I have a small set of poles and canvas for children to learn how a tipi goes up, should they or their family wish to know and I intend to run some workshops about tipis and native American art once I am established.
